Žilvinas Saladžinskas – MD, PhD, Abdominal Surgery

It’s no secret that in my field, many patients conceal their illnesses and put off seeing a specialist, even though successful treatment is best ensured by seeking medical assistance on time. I always try to explain these things to patients.

In interacting with patients, it is crucial for me is to listen to them and establish a dialog that reveals a lot of information about the disease and helps to better prepare for treatment. The most important thing for me is the end result, which I correlate with the patient’s good health, so I always try to not let them down, no matter how difficult or hopeless the situation might be. I always put my heart into it: I listen to my patients and feel for them.
